CARING is a collaborative effort between Viterbo University's nursing program, the La Crosse County Health Department and The Salvation Army of La Crosse and provides free health care screening and health care information to people in need.
Students from Viterbo and nurses from La Crosse County come during the school year to do health screenings and health education. Their services are offered free of charge to under privileged/low income individuals.
Some examples of services offered:
- Flu Shots
- Blood Pressure Tests
- Tuberculosis Skin Tests
- Diabetes Screening
- Cholesterol Screening
- Nutrition Screening
CARING is offered at The Salvation Army of La Crosse on Tuesdays from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m. and on Wednesdays from 4:30p.m-5:30p.m.
