Brenengen Match Day

Saturday, November 25th

LA CROSSE – The Salvation Army of La Crosse County is proud to announce a new partnership to kick off its ‘Match Day’ series for the 2017 Red Kettle Campaign.

On Saturday, November 25th – Brenengen Auto Group will take over the Red Kettle Campaign.  Along with ringing bells at multiple locations, Brenengen Auto Group will also match every dollar donated in La Crosse County up to $10,000.

“We are extremely excited for this new partnership with Brenengen. They’ve always been big supporters and have done a lot to give back.  Now, we’re able to put that on full display during our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Nick Ragner of The Salvation Army.

‘Match Days’ are the most successful fundraising events throughout The Salvation Army of La Crosse County’s Red Kettle Campaign.  In 2016, more than $67,000 was raised in public donations during three advertised ‘Match Days’ – accounting for approximately 25% of all dollars dropped into kettles.

“Up to $10,000 that is dropped into kettles on November 25th will be matched by Brenengen,” said Ragner. “Traditionally, we don’t have Match Days until December so we’re hoping this can stir up some excitement early on in the Campaign.”

Bell ringers are still needed for both ‘Brenengen Day’ and throughout the Red Kettle Campaign.  People that would like to sign up can do so by visiting or by calling 608-782-6126.

The Red Kettle Campaign is The Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser throughout the year and accounts for approximately one-third of the annual budget.  Campaign contributions help fund various day-to-day services provided by The Salvation Army including the Emergency Shelter and Meal Program.  Red Kettle Campaign dollars are raised through bell ringing, non-bell ringing donations, and mail appeal.

While bell ringing runs through Saturday, December 23rd, donations can be made toward the Red Kettle Campaign through January 31st, 2018.
